On my to-do list today were normal activities, especially for someone new to a city. The one that stuck out was laundry. It was definitely needed as my husband did piss his pants just two days ago! Read about my pants-pissing husband here! Not only did the boxer shorts and sweats Jeff was wearing when his episode happened need to be washed, but so did the clothes he has been golfing and running in in this tropical Cleveland climate.
I thought it was awfully sweet of Jeff to save his laundry for me to do. He knows how much I absolutely hate doing laundry. I hate having to haul laundry down the stairs to the washer/dryer. It's not secret. Throwing it in the machine and turning the knobs isn't so awful, but taking it out, folding it, and lugging it back upstairs is dreadful!
The problem here in Cleveland, the place we are currently renting does not have a washer and dryer. That means the laundry does not have to be simply hauled around the house, but to the laundromat. And, while at the laundromat, rather than doing anything productive, I basically have to sit there and make sure no undergarments get stolen. I know people are always trying to get their hands on undergarments! In all honesty, I probably would not have gotten anything productive done in that time, but it is disheartening to know that I couldn't if I wanted to.
However, me, always try to the be the optimist that I am, decided to look on the bright side of things. I know, I know, it's hard to believe there is one. We live on the first floor. I don't have to haul laundry up and down stairs anymore. Yipee for that! Oh, and Jeff's sweats no longer smell like pee!
I'm so glad there is a new blog! Love ya Lish!!
